Strengthening Families Through Partnership

Mental Health Matters in Middle Georgia is proud to partner with the Middle Georgia Community Food Bank to help support families participating in the Truancy to Triumph (T2T) Program in Houston County.

Truancy is often a signal that families are navigating deeper challenges — including basic needs insecurity and increased stress at home. When families are worried about food, housing, or other essential resources, it can affect school attendance, emotional well-being, and overall stability. Addressing those foundational needs is an important step in supporting both mental health and long-term success for children and families.

Through this partnership, families connected to T2T can access food assistance and community resources that help reduce stress and strengthen household stability. By working together, we are helping ensure that families have access not only to mental health support, but also to practical resources that support daily life.
